This move obviously is very controversial. The Bruins announcers go over board with it as you can hear above and the Rangers announcers said it was a dumb move, but something that was needed because the Rangers showed no life at all up until this point in the game.
Yes, it was a stupid/classless/dumb/funny/etc…. move by Sean Avery. But the rangers needed something to happen bad in this game. They had absolutely nothing going up until this point and were only down 1-0. Then coincidentally after this, scoring chances and intensity came quickly for the Rangers. So if I was John Tortolrella, I would have given Avery the game puck yesterday. He is the only one that still cares.
I just don’t understand the hate on Sean Avery being as great as it is. Yes it was a dumb move and he does this stuff all of the time. As a Bruins fan I would be annoyed with it, but it did not do any damage.
You really would rather hate more on Avery rather than guys like Jarkko Ruutu, Chris Neil, Ryan Hollweg, Patrick Kaleta, Etc… who take blind shots and late hits at your star players and risk injuring them????
Personally I would rather see Sean Avery all day than one of those morons potentially injuring my players. As much as it annoys opponents, Sean Avery is good for the leage (when not making dumb comments) and the other players I listed above……..are not.

Avery is hilarious you think he was ever going to change. I agree budy on this one those guys are the real problem you can put Jordan Toottoo and Steve Ott there to. the only thing i hate about Avery is he only fights little guys not any of the guys hes buging like Dion. I pay to see that
