I watched this goal live and immediately went into the “Jaw-dropped WOW Face!”
As a former player, this move is hard enough to pull off without a defender in your face. Then if you are lucky enough or good enough to get around the defender, you usually have nothing left and just throw the puck randomly at the goalies pads.
What does Drew Stafford do? He seemlessly undresses Mike Van Ryan like it was yesterdays news then continues to roof the puck over Justin Pogge. How frickin incredible was that!
