Everyone always talks about that “close 6-5 game” that was so amazing because teams were going back and forth all game scoring. Usually in those games, the defense and/or goaltending sucks on both sides.
This game had the two best goaltenders in the world going at it; both stopping incredible shots all over the place. Amazing game!
I am sure it was interesting and even thrilling for fans of either team, but IMO a game in which division rivals each give either one or two points to the other cannot be a “best” game. Neither team got two points on the other.
