Per TSN:

Free-agent forward Alex Tanguay have come to terms on a contract, according to a report from Canadian free-language broadcaster RDS. Terms of the deeal were not available, and the contract is pending a physical.
Tanguay, 29, was cut loose after last season by the Montreal Canadiens. Reports of talks with the Lightning had circulated for some time.
It’s believed Lightning stars Vincent Lecavalier and Martin St. Louis were instrumental in getting Tanguay to sign.
Tanguay’s 2008-09 season was derailed by injuries, including a 28-game absence because of a shoulder separation. Despite his injuries, he finished the season with 16 goals and 25 assists in 50 games.
Tanguay has appeared in 659 NHL games and has 193 goals and 387 assists. He spent six seasons with the Colorado Avalanche, who made him the 12th overall pick in the 1998 draft. He was instrumental in the Avs’ 2001 Stanley cup victory.
The Canadiens acquired him from the Calgary Flames2 Alex Tanguay to the Tampa Bay Lightning! for first- and second-round picks. He spent two rocky seasons in Calgary, marred by disagreements with former coach Mike Keenan.
Tanguay will add another talented component to the Lightning’s forward corps. It’s likely he will play with Lecavalier and St. Louis on the team’s No. 1 line.
