First I write an East prediction that not many hockey fans other than a slim amount of Rangers fans would have predicted…..the New York Rangers making the Stanley Cup Finals. I was sincerely impressed with the Rangers after the trade deadline with their coaching change and trade acquisitions. I sincerely thought this was a brand new team that could shock a ton of people come playoff time.
Then……..The Rangers went and sucked for two straight games right after I made my prediction and made me look like a moron for making the prediction in the first place.
Then…….last night the Rangers completely dominate the New Jersey Devils on all parts of the ice with a 3-0 victory.
WTF Rangers, decide if you want to be good or not. They obviously have the potential to be great, and not just on the defensive side of the puck anymore because of their trade deadline deals and new style of play under John Tortorella.
Some consistency is all I want to see. I know that is basically impossible to ask for in the NHL, but they go from looking like complete dog shit one night to the best team in the league another.
