Steve Mason is a monster in net and a lock for the Rookie of the Year in my opinion.
Tonight was just another shutout for the rookie and he turned away the Boston Bruins, which makes this his ninth of the season. Usually it would just be a cool story for a goaltender playing well, but for the first time ever the Columbus Blue Jackets are in the playoff hunt.
This is great news for the city of Columbus and the NHL. Time for Rick Nash and Steve Mason to lead this team and do some damage. Steve Mason is the perfect type of goaltender that could get really hot and then BAMMM Blue Jackets are in the finals.
Lock for ROTY and a viable contender for Vezina.
