Ovechkin was going for the big hit which was very obvious since he was going sofast and jumped to go through Gleason. Gleason just got out of the way in time…well except for his knee obviously.
Laraques was lazy, slower, and looked like it was more intentional, where Ovechkin’s wasn’t.
OV should still get suspended. That was wreckless and very unnecessary to even go for that hit in the first place.
At the 1:12 mark the replay shows that ovi looks at the reff and sees that he has a penalty, that to me shows he is not injured he is trying to make it look worse! No offence ovi that is just my opinion.
