According to TSN’s Bob McKenzie, Toronto general manager Brian Burke was relieved of his duties Thursday afternoon.
Nick Kypreos of SportsNet also is reporting the dismissal.
Maple Leafs have scheduled “major announcement” for 1:45 pm ET.

To a large extent, he knew what he was getting into.
