Hours after reporting the Ottawa Senators had traded disgruntled forward Dany Heatley to the Edmonton Oilers, TSN and Sportnet.ca are now reporting that the deal is on hold, with TSN’s Bob McKenzie stating that Heatley has refused to waive his no-trade clause.

Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of defenseman Jay Bouwmeester to a multi-year agreement.
The Flames acquired Bouwmeester on June 27, 2009 from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jordan Leopold and the 67th pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Florida Panthers have traded the rights to unrestricted free agent Jay Bouwmeester to the Calgary Flames for defenseman Jordan Leopold and a third round draft pick.
The Flames can now negotiate with Bouwmeester prior to the July 1 free-agency period.
